What to Expect at the Office
Below are some preparation materials for what to expect at the office.
YOUR APPOINTMENT DATE
- Allow an ample amount of time before your scheduled appointment for completing patient forms and to consult with the practitioner who may question you for any allergies you may have, any condition that would not qualify you as an ideal candidate for BOTOX®, and your overall expectations for the results you desire.
THE PROCEDURE
- The procedure in itself is quite short and will be completed within 10 to 15 minutes.
- For most, there is no use of anesthesia but your practitioner may apply anesthetic cream and you will most likely be in a reclined position throughout the procedure.
- The injections will be administered to the affected areas that were previously examined by your practitioner.
RESULTS
- You will see the desired results within a few days and the effects of the treatment may last up to four to five months. One of the great benefits of BOTOX® is that there is zero recovery time. You can return to work immediately with no discomfort.
AFTER THE PROCEDURE
- After the procedure, some common side effects of the treatment could be minor inflammation, redness, mild nausea, and may cause a droop in your eyelid but will dissipate within a few hours.
